We believe our golf course measures up against the finest in the state. It was designed by Mr. Ted McAnlis, architect for such courses as St. Andrews in Boca Raton, and Wellington Golf Club in Palm Beach County.

The par-70, 18-hole championship course surrounds a wildlife preserve and contains six lakes, the largest being approximately 13 acres.

Our golf staff of over 15 employees is headed by a P.G.A. Golf Professional. Only the finest equipment is utilized to keep the course in immaculate condition.

Are there full country club facilities?

Yes. A restaurant, bar and pro shop add to the enjoyment of playing at Indianwood.

Must I become a member, or can I play on a green-fee basis?

As a resident of Indianwood, the choice will be yours. You can become a member or play on a green fee basis. Residents may own their own golf carts or utilize our full fleet available for rental.

What if I don't play golf?

For those who don't play golf, Indianwood still offers a host of activities and facilities. Indianwood has tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, swimming pool with jacuzzi, bocci courts, horseshoe pits, and a 12,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with a craft room and a commercial kitchen.

Actually, only about 50 percent of our residents are golfers. Another 25 percent are avid boaters or fishermen and enjoy the availability of the Indiantown Marina, the Okeechobee Waterway, Lake Okeechobee, the St. Lucie River, the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean.

Lake Okeechobee is the second largest body of fresh water located wholly within the United States, covering some 750 square miles. Its crystal clear water averages 12 feet in depth.

The lake is known across the nation for its magnificent fishing, great catches of largemouth bass up to 12 pounds, speckled perch, feisty little bream, and catfish that will take two hands to display.
