SCC is a community living center with short and long term living facilities for enjoyment, spiritual fellowship and growth.
The Community is located in Frostproof, Florida which is about an hour driving distance from Orlando and an hour and a half from Tampa.
Located on a beautiful lakefront provided by 1200 feet of Lake Reedy and surrounded by orange farms, SCC is near many fine restaurants, shopping centers, banks and medical clinics and hospital. The ocean front is an hour and a half to two hours from Frostproof.
Shepherd Christian Community is owned, operated and managed by Frostproof Gospel Church, Inc. FGC is a non-profit corporation registered in Florida since 1976 and administered by a board of directors who are in fellowship with churches generally known as the Brethren Assemblies in U.S.
About us:
Ben Bradford had a dream. Some day, with the Lord’s help, he would find the ideal spot on which to develop a retirement community. It would be a place where retired Christians could live in peace and contentment, away from the noise and clamor of large cities. There would be an assembly on the grounds where they could enjoy the fellowship of others of the Lord’s people. For 37 years, he and his wife, Reba had worked hard to build a prosperous business in the Miami area. Now that he was retired, it was time to share with others what the Lord had given him...
