Waterfront Lifestyles International of Cape Canaveral, Florida takes existing mid-size cruise ships and converts them into boutique Independent Living senior retirement residences.
Retirees purchase their own condominium stateroom for full time living aboard. The first ship, Alegria, will be home-ported in Port Canaveral where three major cruise lines have operations... Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival.
Alegria will remain in port and take monthly weekend trips to the Bahamas. It will also take one or two annual trips to Central America and the Caribbean.
Alegria has all the amenities of the major cruise lines and you actually own 1/100 of the entire ship, not just a single condo unit. A monthly "Resident’s Care" fee is assessed each stateroom for the operation of the ship and all its expenses, including all meals. Ownership also includes a golf and tennis membership at a nearby country club.
