Located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, an area with the best of city and country living, Westwood lies five minutes from beautiful sugar-white beaches and the emerald green Gulf of Mexico. We are 10 minutes from Eglin AFB, the largest Air Force base in the world; an hour from the Naval Air Training Command in Pensacola; and an hour from Tyndall AFB in Panama City. Our community shares the neighborhood with the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, the White Wilson Medical Clinic and other professional services. A regional mall, shopping centers, municipal golf course, tennis courts, Y.M.C.A. and churches are readily accessible whether you drive yourself or our chauffeur takes you there!

Westwood Retirement Resort is a full-service rental community where affordable monthly rent covers all the basics of living - meals, utilities (except telephone), housekeeping with flat linen service, maintenance, transportation, and 24-hour security including an emergency response system. There is a one-time Community Fee paid by each resident at move-in time. There are no endowment, damage deposit, or move-out and cleaning fees.

Wall-to-wall carpeting and window treatments are provided in each apartment, along with a stove and refrigerator. All apartments are designed to showcase the individual furnishings, collectibles and accessories you want to bring with you. And yes, you can hang your pictures on the walls.

In addition to Westwood's basic services and your private, comfortable apartment, there is a six-story, garden atrium with beautiful indoor landscaping and a breathtaking display of all state flags representing the home states of our residents. The atrium is where you can challenge the putting greens, shoot pool and play shuffleboard...or just sit and admire the fountain with your friends and neighbors. You have access to the library, an up-to-date hair salon, heated outdoor swimming pool, white wooden gazebo, flower gardens, Country Store with free donuts and coffee, and the Magnolia Room with its wet bar, big-screen TV, VCR, DVD, piano and lots of tables and chairs for card playing.

Our activities staff offers an average of eight different activities every day...in-house they include aquacise, table shuffleboard tournaments, putting tournaments, bingo, concerts, big-band bashes, religious services, ice cream socials, watermelon parties and elegant candlelight dinners. Group excursions include shopping tours, visits to museums and festivals, and trips to every place from the newest restaurants to plays and concerts at the Performing Arts Center to gambling in Biloxi.
